There are a number of problems that can affect our muscles, ligaments, tendons and muscles. Remedial Massage is a therapy that aims to treat muscles that are injured, tense, knotted or with low range of motion.
Remedial Massage involves a general health screen through orthopaedic tests, muscle strength tests, postural assessments, and patient's health history.
The pressure and technique applied is chosen according to the area to be treated, varying from strong and deep or gentle and shallow.
Muscle pain can be caused by strains, sprains, prolonged sitting or lying down, some types of exercise, among other things. Problems with the muscles can trigger or radiate pain to other parts of the body. Remedial massage aims to trace the original reason for the pain, aiming to treat the symptoms and looking for possible causes of the problem, and guiding the patient to other health professionals when necessary.
